Cookie Policy
Last updated: June 12, 2026
This policy describes the cookies and similar technologies used by scriptumwriterstudio.com, in an exact and verifiable manner. You may change your choice at any time:
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser when you visit them. They are used to remember your preferences (such as your consent choice), keep you logged in, and — only if you authorise it — collect usage statistics about the site.
Cookies cannot harm your device, do not contain viruses and do not access information stored on your computer or mobile device.
2. Who is responsible?
| Owner | Juan Manuel Cuenca Navarro |
|---|---|
| Trading name | Fluxio Apps |
| Address | Calle la Cruz, 26 — 12590 Almenara (Castellón), Spain |
| contacto@scriptumwriterstudio.com | |
| Website | https://scriptumwriterstudio.com |
3. Cookies we use
3.1 Necessary cookies (exempt from consent)
Essential for the operation of the site and the service you request. In accordance with Article 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE these do not require consent.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| scriptum_consent | Scriptum (first-party) | Saves your cookie choice (accept/reject/configure) so you are not asked again | 12 months |
| scriptum_session | Scriptum (first-party) | Keeps you securely logged in to the web application (HttpOnly, Secure). Created only upon login | 30 days |
3.2 Analytical cookies (only with your consent)
These are placed by Google LLC (Google Analytics 4) only if you accept them in the cookie banner. If you decline, none are installed and the tool is not even loaded.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google LLC | Distinguish users statistically (random identifier) | 13 months |
| _ga_QE4VCWHXK8 | Google LLC | Maintain the Google Analytics 4 measurement session state | 13 months |
We configure Google Analytics with IP anonymisation and a cookie expiry of 13 months, following the criteria of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD). Statistical data is retained in Google Analytics for a maximum of 14 months.
3.3 Application local storage (not tracking cookies)
The Scriptum application (app.scriptumwriterstudio.com / "app" section) uses the browser's local storage (localStorage/IndexedDB) to save on your own device your manuscripts, editor preferences and your session token. This is strictly necessary technical storage to provide the service: it is not used to track you and is not shared with third parties. The application does not contain any analytics or advertising systems.
3.4 Third-party cookies in the payment process
Payment takes place on the external domain of Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record). Cookies that Lemon Squeezy uses on its own domain during checkout (e.g. for fraud prevention) are governed by their privacy policy. This site does not install Lemon Squeezy cookies.
4. Legal basis
- Necessary cookies: exempt from consent (Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE, technical necessity exception).
- Analytical cookies: prior, informed, specific and revocable consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR and Art. 22.2 of the Spanish LSSI-CE), which you grant or withhold via our cookie banner. No analytical cookie is installed before your express acceptance.
5. How to manage your consent
5.1 Banner and configuration panel
On your first visit, the cookie banner presents three equally prominent options:
- Accept all: necessary and analytical cookies are activated.
- Reject all: only necessary cookies are kept. Rejecting is as easy as accepting.
- Configure: you choose category by category.
You may change or withdraw your consent at any time via the floating "🍪 Cookies" button (bottom-left corner of any page), via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, or via the button at the top of this policy. When you withdraw analytical consent, Google Analytics cookies are actively deleted from your browser.
Your choice is saved for 12 months. If we make substantial changes to this policy, we will ask for your consent again.
5.2 Through your browser
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Mozilla Firefox: Options → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and stored data
Please note that blocking all cookies via the browser may affect the functioning of some parts of the site (for example, staying logged in).
6. What we do NOT do
- We do not use advertising or remarketing cookies.
- We do not share cookie data with social networks for targeted advertising.
- We do not sell or commercialise data obtained through cookies.
- We do not use fingerprinting or alternative tracking techniques to cookies.
- The writing application contains no analytics or trackers: your manuscript and writing activity are not measured or tracked.
7. International transfers
If you accept analytical cookies, statistical data is processed by Google LLC (United States). Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF), a framework recognised by the European Commission's Adequacy Decision of 10 July 2023, which guarantees a level of protection equivalent to that in Europe. Necessary cookies are processed on Hostinger servers within the European Union.
8. Retention
Each cookie has the duration indicated in the tables in section 3. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted on their expiry date, when you delete them manually, or — in the case of analytical cookies — when you withdraw your consent.
9. Your rights
In relation to data processed via cookies, you have the rights detailed in our Privacy Policy: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD): www.aepd.es.
10. Updates to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use, or for legal or operational reasons. The date of the last update is indicated at the top. If the change affects the categories requiring consent, the banner will be shown again for you to decide afresh.
